The Campbell
Cashflow System
How your financial data is connected, protected and put to work, within one of the most regulated data sharing frameworks in Australia.
The short version: Campbell Cashflow is powered by Moneysoft, which operates within one of the most tightly regulated data sharing frameworks in Australia. Your data is yours, you control who sees it, and you can revoke access at any time.
Powered by Moneysoft
Moneysoft is a dedicated cashflow and personal finance management platform built for the Australian financial services industry. It is used by financial advisers, mortgage brokers and money coaches across Australia, and is the platform that brings the Campbell Cashflow process to life.
Moneysoft is part of Link Group (ASX: LNK), a major Australian technology and administration services company with deep expertise in financial services, security and privacy. This institutional ownership adds a significant layer of stability, accountability and trust to the platform.
In Moneysoft, your financial accounts are connected and your transactions flow through automatically. Every dollar in and every dollar out is categorised, tracked against your plan, and visible in one clear dashboard.
How Your Accounts Connect
There are two ways Moneysoft connects to your financial data. Both are secure. Both read transaction data only, Moneysoft has no ability to move money, make payments, or initiate any transaction on your behalf.
The primary method is Open Banking, formally known as the Consumer Data Right (CDR). This is a government-regulated data sharing framework mandated by the Australian Government, where your bank is legally required to give you the ability to share your transaction data securely with accredited providers.
Moneysoft participates in the CDR as a Representative of Envestnet Yodlee, who is a fully Accredited Data Recipient approved by the ACCC. Only companies whose technology, security systems, privacy safeguards and data protection policies have been rigorously checked can achieve this status.
Your Data, Your Rights
The Consumer Data Right gives you, as a consumer, ownership and control over your personal financial data. You decide who can access it, for what purpose, and for how long. This is not a voluntary arrangement or fine print. It is a legislated consumer right governed by the Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020.
Peter's Role in the System
Under the CDR framework, Peter holds the status of Trusted Adviser, a formally recognised participation model that allows authorised financial professionals to access CDR data shared by their clients. This is not self-declared. Peter's identity and professional credentials are formally verified in accordance with the CDR Rules 2020.
Peter can view your transaction data through the adviser portal, the same information you see in your own dashboard. He uses this to prepare for sessions, review monthly reports, and support quarterly meetings. There is no ability to do anything other than view the data you have chosen to share.
Built to financial services standards
Privacy and legal compliance
Moneysoft does not collect your tax file number, health information, political opinions, biometric data, or any other sensitive personal information. It collects only what is necessary, transaction records, account balances, and information you choose to provide.
Data is used only for the purpose of providing the Moneysoft service. It is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
A note on transparency
Campbell Cashflow is committed to being clear about how the service works, how your data is handled, and what you are agreeing to. If you have questions about how your accounts are connected, what Peter can see, or how to revoke access, please ask.
This is your financial data and your cashflow picture. The technology exists to make it clearer and easier to manage. It should never feel opaque.
